Transfer News: Lazio president Claudio Lotito refused to say whether the Italian side would be signing Frank Lampard from Chelsea.
The Blues midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and there now appears to be a move to keep the veteran.
“Many players are linked with us, but we are always on the market for those who we believe can improve the potential of the squad,” said Lotito on Sky Sport Italia.
“The newspaper stories are little more than bar talk. We only consider a player to be ours when we have registered his contract with the authorities.
“I won’t say anything on Lampard, but just that when we look for a player, we usually get him…”
Emmanuel Adebayor said Clint Dempsey “showed Tottenham the way” as his equalising goal inspired Andre Villas-Boas’ side to a crucial 2-1 win over Stoke City on Sunday.
