Frank Lampard is a possible doubt for Friday’s World Cup qualifier against San Marino at Wembley after he was taken off, suggesting he had a problem with his leg.
He is due to captain England in the absence of suspended Steven Gerrard and he started and scored as Chelsea thumped Norwich 4-1 today.
“Frank has a problem behind his knees,” said Di Matteo.
“So I took him off as a precaution and he will be looked at (by medical staff) tomorrow.”
