Greens won 3-2 at Hartley Wintney last Saturday, but lost at Metropolitan Police in CSS League Challenge Cup in midweek

Hendon go in search of a fifth straight win in the Evo-Stik South Premier South on Saturday when they entertain Wimborne Town.

The Greens have been in fine form in the league in recent weeks, and will look to carry that on when they welcome the Magpies.

James Gray’s men continued their fine form in the league last Saturday with a thrilling 3-2 triumph at Hartley Wintney.

The Silver Jubilee Park outfit hell behind in the 10th minute when Mike Campbell scored for the Row, but Stephane Ngamvoulou pulled the visitors level 15 minutes later.

Hendon conceded again in the 56th minute when Jake Ball netted for the hosts, only for Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick to score an equaliser six minutes later.

The Greens then took the lead for the first time through Laste Dombaxe with 19 minutes remaining, and were able to hold on to their advantage to triumph.

The news was not so good for Gray’s men in midweek, however, as they lost 1-0 at divisional rivals Metropolitan Police in the CSS League Challenge Cup.

The Silver Jubilee Park outfit opted to name a youthful side for the first-round tie, and were beaten by a goal in the 71st minute from John Gilbert for the Met.

Hendon will look to put that defeat to one side as they focus on making it five wins in a row in the league on Saturday.

While the Greens begin the weekend in the play-off places, Wimborne are located near the bottom of the table.

Gray, however, will be working hard to ensure there is no complacency in his team ahead of Saturday’s game.
