Wealdstone to host Great Wakering in FA Cup

The draw for the second qualifying round of this season’s FA Cup has been made

Wealdstone will host Great Wakering Rovers of the Bostik North in the second qualifying round of this season’s FA Cup.

The draw for the second qualifying round was made on Monday, with teams from the Vanarama National League North and South entering the competition.

Stones have been handed a home tie and will be looking to take full advantage of that when they welcome Rovers.

Hendon, meanwhile, will entertain either Phoenix Sports or Lancing if they win their replay against Harlow Town on Tuesday night after the initial tie ended 1-1 on Saturday

Haringey Borough are also at home having been drawn to host Erith Town in the second qualifying round, a reward for winning 3-2 at Brentwood Town on Saturday.

Winners of ties in the second qualifying round, which are due to take place over the weekend of September 22, stand to pocket £9,000 in prize money.
