Dagenham & Redbridge forward Joe White is delighted to be given the chance to get some match fitness with his loan spell to Hendon.

White joined the Greens on a month-long loan spell last week in a bid to find his form and break his way back into the Daggers’ first team.

The 19-year-old has featured three times for Daggers this campaign, and marked his full debut in September by scoring the opener in a National League win over Gateshead.

“I’ve been out for a while now with an injury so it’s good to get out there and get some minutes and hopefully try and help Hendon,” said White, after their 3-0 loss at Sutton in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

“There is a strong squad at Dagenham, a really strong squad, and obviously I’ve just got to work my way up the ladder, but I’m just pleased to get some game time.

“Thankfully Hendon have offered to give me that, so I just want to try and help Hendon push on.

“I just want to try getting some goals, getting my sharpness back and seeing what happens from there, but I’ve just got to keep going and try push on.”

White has already made an impact for Hendon despite failing to score in their 3-1 Velocity Trophy defeat to Corinthian Casuals or in their 3-0 defeat to National League Sutton United in the FA Trophy since his arrival.

As the forward redeemed himself by netting five in their 9-1 victory against Spellthorne Sports to help them progress into the semi-final of the Middlesex Senior Cup.
