North London succumbed to a second successive defeat after a disappointing batting display away at second-placed Acton in Division Three of the Middlesex County Cricket League.
James Baker, Matt Rosson and Ted Greally shared the wickets around with three apiece as NL bowled their hosts out for 190.
However, Sam Bardon (47), Jack Godfrey-Wood (23) and Jack Atchinson (11) were the only visiting batsmen to reach double figures as they were dismissed for 108.
NL inserted Acton and made the perfect start, with Baker (3-45) bowling Hugo Rynsard-Perry for a duck and Rosson (3-56) having Matthew Reeve (6) and Danyal Ahmad (1) caught.
That left Acton 10-3, but Hannadige Soysa and Yasir Mehmood steadied the ship with a 54-run partnership. And, although Soysa (18) and James Hunt (2) departed in quick succession, Mehmood (57) took Acton to 95-5.
He was eventually caught off Greally (3-64), who dismissed Tom Forsdike (14) moments later, leaving the home side 101-7 – but James Fell (18), Alex Brennan (40) and John Reeve (32) pushed the total up to 190 before Acton perished after 52.1 overs.
NL also lost early wickets, with Paul Brierley going for a duck, while Hussain Shabbir (5), Simon Rivers (0) and Milo Jennings 3) went cheaply too.
Bardon (47) and Godfrey-Wood (23) tried to halt the collapse, as did Atchinson (11), but the tail collapsed and Acton’s Alex Brennan took 7-29 as NL were skittled for 108 in the 43rd over.
