Tin-Tin Ho is competing in her second Commonwealth Games at the tender age of 19.

The table tennis starlet was Team England’s youngest competitor in Glasgow four years ago, when just 15.

And, having won mixed doubles silver withh Liam Pitchford, she has three chances of a medal on the Gold Coast this time around, competing in the singles, doubles and team event.

She said: “I’m really excited, especially as it’s in Australia. The last one was a really good experience. It was my first big multi-sports event, so I know what to expect this time.

“I remember Glasgow really well. I was the youngest player and felt I had no pressure and went out and enjoyed it.”

Ho heads Down Under on the back of a hat-trick of titles at the National Championships at the Copper Box, where she won the women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

And that after competing for England at the Team World Cup in February, where she claimed the host nation’s only win with a singles success against Singapore.

As for hopes of making it onto the podium in Australia, she added: “In the team event, I think it will be quite hard, but I think we can win a medal.

“India and Singapore will be good, and Malaysia and Canada. My goal is to get an individual medal too, but I know that will be really tough.”

Londoner Ho is joined in the squad by Kelly Sibley, Maria Tsaptsinos, Denise Payet, Paul Drinkhall, Sam Walker, Pitchford and David McBeath.

The table-tennis event starts on April 5 and runs all the way until the end of the games 10 days later.
