Reports that Tottenham have made an offer for Nancy and France Under-21 left-back Massadio Haidara have been rubbished by the Ligue 1 club’s sports director Eric Martin.
The 20-year-old has 18 months remaining on his contract and that has set the rumour mill in motion with Spurs and Italian Serie A side Fiorentina linked with a January swoop.
But Martin insists no bids have been tabled by any club, telling calciomercato.com: “Fiorentina and Tottenham chasing Haidara? There are many clubs interested in him, but for the moment we have not received concrete offers.”
Speculation that the player’s agent has met with Fiorentina officials, have also been dismissed.
“I only know that the press have put out many declarations, but for now Massadio remains a Nancy player,” Martin said.
Saint Etienne forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hinted that he would prefer a move to Borussia Dortmund over Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle.
