Wenger provides Walcott contract update as Chelsea, Man Utd & Liverpool linked

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains hopeful a deal for the out-of-contract Theo Walcott can be secured sooner rather than later.
The England international has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Liverpool but with the Reds signing Daniel Sturridge, a move there is looking more and more unlikely.
Wenger said: “It is a positive message for us to keep Theo, of course. Will it have an effect on the morale of the team? Yes, I am convinced it will have a positive effect if we manage to sign him.”
