Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has denied he will move to sign in-demand Newcastle striker Demba Ba in January.
The Senegalese frontman has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Harry Redknapp’s QPR as well as Arsenal.
The Gunners were rumoured to be leading the race for Ba, who has a release clause of £7.5million in his contract, but Wenger has ruled out the possibility of signing him.
“It is not right to speak about him because he plays against us tomorrow,” said Wenger.
“If you ask ‘do we sign him?’ I say no.”
