Wenger assesses Theo Walcott’s performance during Southampton draw

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger felt that his side’s forward play at Southampton prevented Theo Walcott from expressing himself.
The 23-year-old is out-of-contract in the summer and has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Liverpool.
The forward started up front against the Saints but was moved into a wider position as the game went on.
“It is hard to single out anyone,” Wenger said when asked about Walcott. “Nobody was put in good conditions to express anything decent offensively.”
