Real Betis midfielder Beñat Etxebarria - who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent months - has admitted he would be interested in a move abroad.
The Spain international was a target for Manchester City in the summer and has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
Beñat, 25, has been a key figure for Betis this season, helping them climb to fifth in the table.
His current deal at Betis runs out in 2014 and he admits talks are at a standstill over an extension.
Beñat insists he is not motivated by money and hints that he would be interested in a possible move to England.
“I’m not asking for a lot of money” he told El País. “We haven’t spoken about numbers.”
He continued: “I am very happy at Betis and we’ll see what happens in the future, but I won’t turn my nose up at playing in another country or living in another culture.”
Beñat says his boyhood dream was to play for former club Athletic Bilbao, but since leaving the Basque side in 2009 he has been more concerned with being a good professional.
“When I was small I dreamt about playing for Athletic [Bilbao]. When I couldn’t stay there any longer I just wanted to be a good professional.”
Transfer news: Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond will join Colchester United on a permanent basis next season, the Premier League club have confirmed.
