Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque believes Santi Cazorla will go from strength to strength following his arrival at Arsenal in the summer.
The former Malaga playmaker has made an instant impact at the Emirates, putting in a string of outstanding performances for Arsene Wenger’s side.
The 27-year-old is currently with the Spain squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier against France, and coach Del Bosque thinks he can blossom in north London like former Gunners skipper Cesc Fabregas.
“As with Cesc Fabregas, some players who go and play for foreign clubs improve on a cultural level,” Del Bosque told L’Equipe.
“It makes them grow on many levels; intellectually, because you have to learn a new language and adapt to another culture, and on a footballing level too.
“I’m delighted Santi Cazorla has left to go and work with Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
“He will become a better footballer and a more complete man.”
