Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould thinks Arsenal’s 3-1 Champions League win over Olympiakos last night can help them forget last weekend’s defeat to Chelsea and get their season back on track.
Gervinho got the Gunners opener at the Emirates last night, and after the Greek side equalised just before half time, goals from Lukas Podolski and Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal victory.
Bould admitted Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday had had an affect on the team’s confidence, but he was glad to get the three points and put that result behind them.
“I think it probably affected our confidence a little bit getting beaten [by Chelsea], when we felt perhaps - even though we didn’t play so great - we should have got something from the game.
The Gunners head to Upton Park to face Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United on Saturday, and Bould is hoping to continue their winning ways.
“Maybe there was a little bit of a carry-over, but we’re hoping now that we’ve won that has gone, done and dusted, and we get back on track.”
