Robin van Persie is looking for the Gunners to get their own back on the Red Devils
Arsenal star Robin van Persie is looking for revenge against Manchester United when the two sides meet on Sunday.
The last time the Gunners faced the Red Devils they were hammered 8-2 at Old Trafford and the Dutchman is not going to let that happen again.
“What happened against Manchester United at Old Trafford is a motivation, for sure. I’d never lost a match 8-2 before so I’m hungry to put that right, as is the entire team,” the captain told the Official Matchday Programme.
“Everyone has been looking really sharp in training this week, so we’re ready for the game and feeling positive about it.
“We know exactly what we’re in for - Manchester United are great competitors who often manage to nick a game even if they seem to be struggling.
“When the season reaches its final couple of months they’re always there to compete - they may or may not win the league, but they’re always fighting for it.
“We’re in for the usual big challenge they present us but we’re all looking forward to setting things straight.”
