Transfer news: Arsenal’s Sebastien Squillaci says he is in discussions with a number of French clubs and could leave the Emirates as early as January.
The Frenchman has fallen badly out of favour at Arsenal and has not featured in the Premier League all season.
A January departure is a possibility but alternatively he could leave when his contract expires in the summer.
“My relationship with Arsene Wenger is good and I remain as professional as possible,” he told Var Martin.
“I will be out of contract at the end of the season. As it stands, I will leave. Perhaps during the January transfer window, or I will wait for June.
“Marseille, Nice, Monaco, Bastia or Ajaccio are clubs that are speaking to me.
“I am 32 years old. I still have two or three good seasons left. I will choose depending on the opportunities that arise.”
Arsenal forwardTheo Walcott has made no secret of his desire to the lead the attack as he had done to great effect earlier in the campaign.
