Transfer news: Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has rubbished rumours linking Turkish midfielder Arda Turan with a move to Premier League.
Turan has been linked with London duo Arsenal and Chelsea after recently commenting that he would like to join a club competing in the Champions League.
But boss Simeone insists the 25-year-old’s future is at Atletico, saying his performances on the pitch show his commitment to the club.
“Arda is not going, that’s for sure,” said Simeone.
“I didn’t hear his comments, but people can say what they want to say.
“What’s important is his performances on the pitch.
“Arda is one of the best players,” he continued.
“He plays with heart in every game. He has a contract at our club and he shows it out on the pitch.”
Saint Etienne forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hinted that he would prefer a move to Borussia Dortmund over Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle.
