A helicopter crashed into a crane in central London during morning rush hour today, leaving two people dead.
The aircraft struck the top of a tower block by the River Thames in Vauxhall at 8am.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud bang as the helicopter cartwheeled to the ground and exploded into flames before crashing into a street.
Police have confirmed the two deaths, including the pilot, and several people are being treated for injuries.
