Transport for London (TfL) opened Hampstead Station, on the Northern Line, this morning, despite earmarking it for closure before the strike began at about 9pm last night.

Chalk Farm, Mornington Crescent, Tufnell Park, Clapham South, Old Street, Colliers Wood, Oval, Angel, Tooting Bec, Borough, Mill Hill East, Goodge Street - all on the Northern Line - are closed.

Jubilee Line underground stations St John’s Wood and Swiss Cottage are also closed today.

A good service is running on the Northern Line, while trains on the Jubilee Line are running every 10 minutes.

West Hampstead Underground Station was very busy this morning, with passengers having to wait about 20 minutes for a train at rush hour.

The London Overground and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) are not affected by the strike action.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union have staged a walk-out in protest at the closure of Tube ticket offices.
