Visitors and residents flocked to Primrose Hill yesterday as Regent’s Park Road was transformed for the community’s bi-annual festival.

More than 70 stalls sold food, crafts and gifts while musical acts and fairground rides entertained people of all ages.

A dog show - which organisers expected only to attract a few entrants - was inundated with about 60 dogs, all competing for titles as best pup, most handsome dog and child’s best friend.

Organiser Jo Barnett said the day was “an absolute triumph”.

“The weather was brilliant and the turnout was fantastic,” she said. “People were so happy.

“We were completely overwhelmed with the number of dogs that were entered in our dog show.”
The festival aimed to raise money to fund the Village Christmas lights - with further donations made to a dogs charity.

The next festival is set to take place at the end of November.
