Regular readers will know much Heathman loves a good rumour, especially when celebrities are concerned, and this week the rumours have been flying about Highgate Village’s latest A-list resident.

It is thought that a well-known supermodel has moved into a particularly illustrious street in the village which Jude Law, Geri Haliwell and Kate Moss all call home.

But residents have been left scratching their heads over the model’s identity.

When Heathman called up his go-to celebrity snoops in the village, sources named no fewer than three models who are all said to have already moved to Highgate, or who will be loading up the moving van any time soon.

Several had heard that Claudia Schiffer arrived last November, but no-one has spotted the German beauty popping into Brooksby’s newsagents, or strolling across Pond Square.

Ms Schiffer has a country house in Suffolk and, up until recently, lived in west London.

If the 43-year-old has made the move to Highgate, she is keeping a much lower profile than her new neighbours Kate Moss and Geri Haliwell, who are often seen out and about in the village.

But Ms Schiffer is not the only star thought to have adopted the area in recent months.

One spy believes supermodel Linda Evangelista is the village’s newest inhabitant, while Elen Rives, footballer Frank Lampard’s model ex-girlfriend, is also believed to be moving to a house on the hill.

If all three have made the village their home, is Highgate fast becoming a model village?
