Highgate amateur vocal group Singing in London gave a rousing performance at their summer concert in aid of the Whittington Hospital at Lauderdale House.
A chorus of about 25 singers performed a range of tunes from popular Broadway and West End productions, such as Calamity Jane, Guys and Dolls and The Wizard of Oz, with audience members encouraged to join in and sing along to their favourite songs.
Professional choral conductor Idit Gold, who founded the weekly singing club in 2006 and directed the recital, said: “It was a lot of fun. The audience came out so elated after getting the chance to give singing a go.”
The concert raised £164 for the hospital in Magdala Avenue, Archway, and will go towards helping to fund local NHS projects.
