A man was found dead in a shed by firefighters tackling a blaze in allotments backing onto Coldfall Wood.
The fire took hold in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, with more than 20 firefighters and four engines called just after midnight to the East Finchley allotments, situated between Chandos Road and Coldfall Wood, Muswell Hill.
They managed to bring it under control around two hours later but discovered the body of the man in one of the fire-hit sheds.
No further details of the man’s identity have been issued so far.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s fire investigation team and the police.
