Fire crews tackled a blaze that tore through a three-storey terraced house in Kentish Town.

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire on Prince of Wales Road at 7.30pm yesterday evening.

The first and second floors and the roof have been severely damaged by the fire.

There were no reported injuries.

The Brigade received multiple calls from members of the public alerting it to the blaze in the three storey terraced house

Station Manager Lee Walker, who was at the scene, said: “When I arrived there were flames coming out of the first and second floor windows of the property, the roof was also well alight.

Fire crews worked hard to extinguish the fire. Motorists were advised to avoid the area as Prince of Wales Road was closed to traffic.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
