Gabrielle du Plooy, 37, runs Zebra Gallery in Perrins Court, Hampstead. She has lived in the area all her life and previously worked as a facial model for advertising campaigns. This week, she features in the Ham&High’s Who’s Who section.

What is Hampstead’s hidden gem?

Tucked away off the high street is Ginger and White. It has wonderful service, great people and the coffee is a must.

A film is set to be made about your life. Which actress would you choose to play you and why?

It would have to be Kate Bosworth as, not only is she absolutely stunning, she’s also wonderful on screen. But honestly, I don’t think anyone would be nutty or dark enough to play me.

Have you had many famous buyers or browsers at the gallery since you took over?

My clients include Liam Gallagher, Nicole Appleton, Ricky Gervais, Michael McIntyre, George Michael and Sadie Frost to name a few. Liam Gallagher is one of the most loyal clients – he’s bought a lot of rock and roll photography as well as Sir Peter Blake’s sleeve for the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

What’s your perfect way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead?

I would start out with a roast at the Holy Bush pub and then go for a long walk on Hampstead Heath or Kenwood. Summer picnics on the Heath really make you forget that you’re in London and I love the sense of community in Hampstead.

What part of your face do you like the most?

I’ve been told in the past it’s my lips.

What has been your favourite work of art displayed in the gallery?

The Damien Hirst skulls, as I love skulls, and because he was one of my best artists in the gallery. The 3D effect looked really brilliant and I sold out of them within four days. I sold them for six grand and now they’re worth about 10 – I love making people money!

What is the one thing you would change about Hampstead?

I would ban any more big companies taking over our little boutique shops which make Hampstead so unique. Oh, and sort out the terrible parking.

If you had to write your own epitaph what would it say?

Live with no excuses and love with no regrets.
