Haringey residents are being encouraged to make an “eggs-tra effort” to recycle this Easter holiday.

The council’s recycling and waste management contractor Veolia is reminding residents the “vast majority” of Easter egg packaging can be recycled - including clean foil, cardboard boxes and plastic tubs and trays.

Volia will also continue usual waste and recycling collections on Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21.

For larger waste disposal needs this Easter, reuse and recycling centres in Hornsey and Tottenham are open to the public as a free service - although both will be closed on Good Friday.
