The driver of a bus and a car have been hospitalised after a head-on collision in Hampstead this morning

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were called at approximately 11am to reports of an incident in North End Way, near to the Old Bull and Bush pub.

He said police and paramedics went to the scene, and both the driver of the car and the bus were taken by the London Ambulance Service to a north London hospital.

A passenger on board the bus was also treated at the scene for minor injuries, the spokesman added.

The bus was removed from the collision scene by 1.2opm, the Met confirmed,
