Teenager arrested after West Hampstead attack

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an assault on an elderly man in West Hampstead.

Police were called to Goldhurst Terrace at around 4pm where they found the 60-year-old man lying unconscious with a head injury.

He was taken to hospital in central London and his condition is described as critical.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man who is being questioned at a north London police station.
