Police fear a 14-year-old Muswell Hill school girl could be in danger of “being exploited” after she went missing last month.

Sasha Macfarlane, a pupil at Fortismere School, was seen last week in the company of three older men in Muswell Hill and officers say they are increasingly concerned for her safety.

Camden Police’s missing person’s unit has issued a plea to parents of Sasha’s friends to come forward with any information.

Sgt Ian Hutton told the Ham&High: “I am concerned that she is at risk from some form of exploitation.

“She is a 14-year-old girl, is she going to be given a bed and lodging for free?”

Sasha is believed to be in contact with friends over social networking site Facebook.

But the last contact she had with her family was on March 21 at her father’s home in Highgate.

Sgt Hutton added: “There are parents of girls who are in contact with Sasha who seem to think that not embarrassing their daughter is more important than the welfare of this young girl.

“We’re talking about her immediate welfare and her future economic prospects, is she is failing to attend school, which override any embarrassment.”

Police are urging anyone with information to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
