The British Transport Police (BTP), along with the Met and London Ambulance Service were called to the station before 4.30pm, following reports of an assault.

Witnesses said they believed he had been attacked with a glass bottle at the station.

The tube station was closed in the aftermath of the attack, as emergency services attended.

At the time his injuries were thought to be life threatening. He has since left hospital.

The BTP confirmed there is CCTV at the station.

There has been no arrests, and investigations continue.

There have been increasing concerns over antisocial behaviour at the tube station, on West End Lane, in recent weeks.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting reference 423 of June 29. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
