A Colindale man accused of pushing a ‘computer genius’ by in front of a Tube train at Kentish Town station was too ill to appear in court today.

Davindra Ferguson, 29, of Parklea Close, is accused of the attempted murder of software developer Kamlesh Ramji, 40, who fell in front of the train on December 2 this year.

Blackfriars Crown Court heard Mr Ramji, a business development manager at software firm Sage, was hit in front of horrified commuters but miraculously survived.

He is in a serious condition in hospital.

Speaking at an earlier hearing prosecutor Christina Pasquali said: “The victim suffered a possible fractured skull, internal organ injuries as well as chest injuries.”

Ferguson was too unwell to be brought up from the cells today.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a plea and case management hearing at March 9 and his trial was fixed for May 23.
