Police are keen to trace a man captured on CCTV pushing a trolley in front of a train at Euston station.
Footage - which can be seen above - shows the man, dressed in a white t-shirt and dragging a bag behind him, shoving the luggage carrier on to tracks at the central London hub station. Seconds later, a train pulling into the platform collides with the trolley.
British Transport Police said “no significant damage” was caused to the train.
Officers have released the CCTV in a bid to identify the man involved in the incident, which police said took place around 9pm on Tuesday, August 6.
BTP’s Insp James Tyrrell said: “We are unsure as to why the man deliberately pushed the trolley onto the tracks before walking away, which is why we are keen to trace him and speak to him about his dangerous actions.
“If the train had been travelling at speed, it could have caused serious damages to the tracks, train and anyone who may have been close-by.
“The image of the man is clear. If you recognise him, I’d urge you to come forward.”
