Three police officers were taken to hospital after being sprayed with ammonia while trying to arrest a man in north London.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said they were executing a warrant at an address in Hampstead yesterday morning when they were attacked.
A 57-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault on police officers.
The spokesman said the officers arrived at the house in Adelaide Road at approximately 6.50am but were sprayed with ammonia and had to be taken to a north London hospital.
He said they have since been discharged, and their injuries are not thought to be life changing.
Police said during the course of the arrest the man sustained injuries and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service with a head injury.
He has now been discharged and has been taken to a north London police station, the spokesman added.
