A property developer accused of killing his pregnant wife at their Hampstead home denied murder when he appeared at the Old Bailey.

Robert Ekaireb, 38, is alleged to have killed Lihua Cao, 27, nearly seven years ago. Her body has never been recovered.

Ekaireb, now of Corrigan Close, Hendon, will return to court on June 24 for trial.

Brick Lane Comedy Festival cancelled after opposition from community groups

A comedy festival in east London due to feature acts including Al Murray, Alan Davies and Ed Byrne has been cancelled because of “heavy opposition from local community groups”.
