Celeb Triyoga studio leaves Primrose Hill for Camden Town

A yoga studio which has been attracting celebrities including Kate Moss and Jude Law to its home in Primrose Hill for more than 13 years is set to move after a lengthy battle with developers.

Triyoga, in Erskine Road, has been at the centre of a fight to prevent its premises and nearby buildings being turned into flats.

The plans prompted a star-studded “Save Triyoga” campaign, which received support from 1,700 people including Sir Paul McCartney, Sadie Frost and Jamie Oliver.

When Camden Council approved the plans, it even led retail guru Mary Portas to claim Triyoga’s loss would cause a “spiral of decline” in Primrose Hill, saying the studio brought “much-needed” custom to nearby businesses.

But the yoga, Pilates and treatment centre is looking to draw a line under its long struggle by moving to the site of an old piano factory in Jamestown Road, Camden Town, 10 minutes’ walk away.

Jonathan Sattin, managing director of Triyoga, said the move, planned for December, would be a “positive step”.

“We’ll have more space with four yoga studios – up from the current three – which will allow us to offer new types of classes,” he said.
