Free McDonald’s fries were being handed out by former Love Islanders and television personality Joey Essex at King’s Cross Station.
A huge McDonald’s Monopoly dome game was erected at the station today (August 30), where members of the public were challenged to catch as many flying sheets within a certain time to exchange for prizes.
Next to the station there was also a McDonald’s van handing out fries for participants and passers-by.
Among the special guests there were recently rekindled couple Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who were crowned the winners of Love Island season 7 in 2021, before they briefly broke up and later reunited.
Joey Essex, who was the Dancing on Ice runner-up in 2023, kept crowds entertained as they queued to win prizes at the Monopoly dome.
He also helped to hand out the fries to people in the area.
The stunt was part of a McDonald’s promotion for the return of its regular Monopoly collaboration where customers can win free prizes and meals with their orders. It is set to return on September 6.
