Hokyoung Kim, who is known as Hockers, will be performing at the legendary music jam The Island Experiment held at Paradise By Way in Kilburn Lane, every Wednesday.

The 32-year-old singer, song writer and acoustic musician, has been penning and producing music for 15 years and has released a multitude of singles and EPs in the UK, and several EPs and a music video in Korea.

Since moving to London from Seoul five years ago, Hockers, who also works in a Korean restaurant, has teamed up with various other bands when performing for larger crowds.

When asked what artists inspire him, he said: “Stevie Wonder and Queen although my music sounds nothing like that!!”

The Island Experiment features a collective of singers, musicians, artists, writers and everyday folks who love music. From 6pm to midnight.
