Brunch is served at Dirty Bones, Carnaby Street

Maple syrup-soaked waffles served up with chicken and a fried egg might sound like an unlikely sweet and savoury combination, but it’s a delectable part of Dirty Bones’ new brunch menu.
Nestled at the top of Carnaby Street’s Kingly Court, away from the hustle and bustle of central London’s shoppers, the vintage-style joint serves up the best American comfort food, with an array of burgers and hotdogs.
There’s a bit of an east London vibe going on here, with its concrete ceiling, neon lights, and décor details like tassle lamps and an old door with stained glass windows used as a room divider
There are a few vintage accessories thrown in to the mix, with a vending machine, sewing machine and cameras hanging from the ceiling.
Other brunch dishes include a bacon toastie with smoked cheddar, caramelised onions, fried egg and chives, and avocado on sourdough toast with tomato chilli jam, garnished with olive candy, both £8.
Veggies don’t have to miss out on the ‘dirty’ experience, as hotdogs come with a non-meat option.
For starters we tried the deep-fried mac and cheese balls, which are usually just available on the evening menu, and something to come back for at that time - with their gloriously crispy edges, dipped in a sweet barbecue sauce.
Desserts include warm donuts with coffee gelato for £5 and more waffles served with caramelised banana and Toblerone for £7.50.
It’s perfect for families, with my seven-year-old daughter asking if we could return every day “because it’s so good”.
But it also makes a good pit stop to stave off a hangover where you can stockpile on comfort food and drink even more, with a bottomless Prosecco for £19 per person, or even a bottomless Veuve Clicquot champagne option for £100.
Brunch is served on Saturday and Sundays.
