Man stabbed on his first day in UK

POLICE in Camden are appealing for witnesses to a vicious stabbing which put an Iranian asylum seeker in intensive care on his first day in the country.

The 23-year-old was found by a passer-by in Miller Street, Camden Town, on Friday (September 9) at 8.40pm. He was stabbed twice, in the chest and back, puncturing a lung. He was rushed to the University College London Hospital, where he was put on a ventilator. The victim is now in a stable condition.

Police say he was attacked by four black men in another part of Camden Town but they will know more once the victim recovers and an interpreter is brought in.
