ROBBERS attacked a woman near Hampstead Heath and stole her £5,000 designer watch.

The 28-year-old was walking along Pattison Road near the West Heath at 3.30pm on Monday when the muggers grabbed her handbag and forced her to the ground.

The two men grabbed her Panerai watch and then ran off towards Hermitage Court.

"This was a nasty attack in broad daylight, on what was a warm sunny day," said Detective Sergeant Mick Gornall of Barnet Police.

"A number of people would have been in the area at the time and I urge anyone who believes they saw these two men to contact police. Their information could be vital."

Both attackers are white, one was about 20 years old, 5ft 10ins with brown hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded jumper.

The other was about 15-years-old and around 5ft 2ins.

Witnesses should call Barnet police on 020 8200 1212 and quote crime reference 2408046/07.
