L ITTLE Bay could be the busiest restaurant in North London.
It's certainly one of the only places where you can get a good three course meal for less than £10 before 7pm.
This popular eaterie has been feeding NW6 since 1992 and spawned a sister restaurant in Farringdon five years ago.
The Belsize Lane restaurant can easily feed 400 people a night and the whole thing is an impressive combination of speed, professionalism and good food.
It may look small from outside but there's an enormous downstairs dining area with 120 seats.
They innovatively use the space on the ground floor level above the stairwell with a little wooden mezzanine where two tables are reached from a ladder.
Space is very precious here, so it may feel a little cramped but with prices like this you can't complain.
A set menu is charged differently before and after 7pm.
Starters are £2.25 before 7pm and £2.95 there after.
Mains are £5.25 before and £6.85 after, desserts are priced at £2.25 before and £2.95 after 7pm.
There's an extensive range of specials, priced slightly higher, but still qualifying as seriously cheap.
Little Bay won the 2003 NW award for ‘Best Value' restaurant and rightly so.
Just don't forget to book.
