Three drug dealers have been jailed after a police probe into a drug line.

Jorrell Ankrah, of Boulevard Drive, Edgware, Kevin Moata, of no fixed address, and Douglas Pereira, of Ferrers Road, Streatham, were jailed for a combined total of more than ten years after a hearing at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday (December 1).

The Metropolitan Police said a ten-month investigation was launched after officers stopped Pereira in Tottenham on September 27 last year and detained him.

Police say Pareira had several wraps of Class A drugs and a phone when he was caught. Detectives downloaded data from his phone and identified his accomplices, Ankrah and Moata.

The two were found to be the custodians of the “Mickey" drugs line.

Ankrah was arrested on Tuesday (October 4) in 2022, and Moata was located on October 18 in Leicester where he was arrested and brought back to London.

Pareira was released on bail before being arrested and charged on October 4, 2022.

Police said Ankrah possessed a phone that was used to run the drugs line and contact Pareira “hundreds of times” a day.

All three had pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs at an earlier hearing.

Ankrah, 27, has now been sentenced to four years in jail and Moata, 30, has been ordered to serve three years and two months in prison for conspiracy to supply crack and heroin.

Pareira has similarly been given a sentence of three years and four months for conspiracy to supply crack and heroin and for possession with intent to sell cocaine.

Sergeant Nick Stylianou, from the Specialist Crime North Proactive Team, revealed that the trio lived “lavish lifestyles” funded by their crimes.

He said: “The extensive work involved in the case demonstrates our commitment to tackling drug supply, which is heavily linked to exploitation and serious violence leading to untold misery in London.

I hope this acts as a deterrent to those who partake in this type of criminal behaviour – the message is clear, if you choose to engage in dealing drugs, you will be identified, arrested and put before the courts.”
